Reporter on i was inside for the News Conference when mayor ed lee explained he met with police chief sir this morning following Fatal Shooting of a black woman in the Bay View District by a police sergeant. As you said the mayor said he asked the police chief to resign and that is exactly what the police chief did. Chief greg sir has been with the San Francisco Police Department for 33 years. He was elected chief in 2011. Now the mayor said the city has been shaken and divide over tension between Law Enforcement and community of color for several months now.
