to get too aggressive and are there still concerns that by doing providing more offensive weaponry, the us could provoke russia into a wider conflict. well, i see it as building up towards ultimately defeating russia on the battlefield and remember, there are a lot of other mechanized vehicles there from the self transporting high mars artillery, mraps bradley fighting vehicles. poland has already sent 250 old soviet style tanks. you know, this is just an accumulation of nato s desire. to do anything it takes to make sure that ukraine gets the win here and not russia. so ukraine has about 20% of its country controlled by russia. it thwarted the initial push on kiev. it maintained its government. but you re now at this stage that s been fairly static. russia is planning this massive offensive. they ve had their military go through. what over the past year has been a pretty awful and brutal campaign. what does this mean

ukraine and russia must be prepared for a long conflict. this is just the early stages of this conflict, in my opinion. so, what the ukrainians must do, as i mentioned, is to gain offensive strength, offensive weaponry, and really plan to take back the territory that they have lost in this conflict in 2022 and then look to regain the territory they lost in 2014. but that will take a long e effort, a long, hard effort. are we at the point where nato and the u.s. maybe needs to have a conversation with kyiv, with president zelenskyy, maybe suggest that it s, you know, a pragmatic conversation, that it may be time to trim those war aims, you know, again, lock in those wins instead of taking this bigger gambit and trying to, you know, push russia out of all of ukraine? because of regardless, if putin is pushed out or stays, i mean,
military systems like armoured personnel carriers, long range artillery, long range munitions, unmanned aerial vehicles, for example, so much heavier more offensive weaponry, and this training package is designed to help the ukrainians elements of that assistance they might not otherwise have known how to use. sergey lavrov has is that russia sees itself, not at war with nato but, as you mentioned, this is more offensive equipment, is this likely to change that? both sides have been very careful in their language, and so the russian foreign minister s statement is in line with that, to a large extent. you know, certifying that russia doesn t see itself at war with nato, certainly the us has been pretty clear that its actions are designed to help ukraine defend itself against this aggression,
