coast as a tropical storm as we get into early on sunday morning. then going right across the yucatan, only 24 hours across if it continues at this rate, at this path. and then strengthens back to a tropical storm as we get into tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. possibly with winds of 70 miles an hour. gusts of 85. there s a big cone of uncertainty. there s a chance the storm could move more north. it may stay further south and stay towards mexico. or it could die out all together under the yucatan peninsula. there s a lot of unknowns with this particular storm. what i can tell you, it s definitely going to make its way across the yucatan. but will it strengthen, will it weaken? it remains up in the air. in terms of what this storm could mean for the gulf of mexico and with the oil, looking for a silver lining, that s what we re trying to do. we may see enhanced wave action if this moves out.

yucatan peninsula, a 5-hour drove if you were to drive from cozumel, if you come out for tourist reasons. we have a map, and if you look at t. this is massive, people here say this is the forgotten spill from 1979, 30 years ago, but it coasted almost the entire gulf coastline of mexico and even up to 160 miles of the texas coast. we went back through, using some of our affiliates in techs and other people we met and found video and reports from the tile and you can see that some of the video, even though it s old and grainy is similar to the pictures we re seeing out of the gulf in the bp spill. in fact when you talk to people whrrks in mexico or south texas, they will tell you they have very vivid memories of the damage this spill caused. there were times that we took our boats out to the beach to beach-launch, and the oil was like a road that extended for 100 miles down the beap, and it would come in in waves of black oil and
