Fayette Sheriff Makes Arrests in Misc. Incidents
A one-vehicle accident early this morning (Thursday, May 27) near Sumner, has resulted in the arrest of the driver.
Shortly after 12:30am, the Fayette County Sheriff received a report of a vehicle in the ditch on 160th Street, a mile east of Sumner. There were no injuries reported.
Responding deputies arrested the driver, 26 year old Katlin Wood of Sumner on charges of Operating While Intoxicated-3rd Offense, Driving While Barred, Failure to Maintain Control, and Failure to have SR-22 Insurance.
Wood was taken to the Fayette County jail and held until his initial court appearance.
Arrests for Assault and Public Intox in Oelwein
An Oelwein man has been arrested on several charges following an incident Tuesday evening (March 2).
At about 5:30pm officers responded to an incident in the 100 block of South Frederick. Following an investigation, 25 year old Dakota Ray Vandermillen was taken into custody on charges of Assault on persons engaged in certain occupations, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree, Public Intoxication and Interference with Official Acts.

Oelwein Police are investigating a burglary on the northwest side of town. The break-in was reported to authorities at about 10:15am Tuesday, in the 400 block of 13th Avenue NW.
Oelwein Police Report a Couple of Weekend Arrests and an Accident
An Oelwein man has been arrested for an outstanding warrant.
34 year old Anthony Copley was taken into custody late Friday afternoon on Fayette County warrants on the original charges of Assault While Displaying a Weapon, Violation of Pre-trial Supervision, Criminal Mischief-3rd Degree, and 2 counts of Driving While Suspended.
Saturday night, Oelwein officers arrested 43 year old Misty June Cook of Saint Lucas for Public Intoxication and Interference with Official Acts. She was arrested after an incident in the 200 block of 10th Street SE.

And Oelwein Police were called to a two-vehicle property damage accident Friday morning, in the 600 block of West Charles. Javontae Washington was in the process of driving out of a private drive, when he struck a car driven by Janet Klatt. No injuries were reported. Washington was issued a warning for Unsafe Entry onto a Roadway.
