Chabad North East London and Essex held a festival of lights last week inn Troubadour, Meridian Water. The event was the culmination of Chanukah celebrated by seven different evenings of Menorah lightings in different locations throughout the area. Around 1,000 people attended the concert drive-in to end the celebrations. Rabbi Aryeh Sufrin MBE, executive director Chabad NE London and Essex, said We are so very pleased to be able to have this Chanukah celebration, especially during this period of uncertainty. We are very grateful to those who have worked with us to help make this happen and especially to my colleagues Rabbi Odom Brandman of Chabad Buckhurst Hill and Rabbi Yossi Posen of Chabad Epping, assisted by Rabbi Mordechai Wollenberg of Woodford Forest US, for steering this project from conception to delivery. It is an opportunity for the community to get together safely and celebrate a very important festival in the Jewish Calendar, on the last night of Chanukah .
