BHUBANESWAR: The bus owners had faced a very difficult time during the first wave of Covid as their buses were not plying due to lockdown and other Covid-19 restrictions. Now with return of lockdown, they are staring at heavy loss. Many of them face difficulties to pay taxes and EMI of loans.
Because of government restrictions and fear of Covid infections, the buses were not getting passengers between April third week to December last year apart from movement restriction of buses during lockdown. The services were started from January this year when the Covid situation came under control.
