A HOSPITAL worker in Hook will stand trial this week after being accused of ‘ill-treatment’ of a patient. Mr Adekunle Ojedokun was working as a “officer on the staff” of Mildmay Oaks hospital on Odiham Road, Hook on March 17 2019 when an incident involving a patient named Michael Coombs occurred. The 60-year-old from Feltham, Middlesex, was charged with ‘ill-treating’ the patient. Mildmay Oaks is an independent hospital which offers a locked and secure in-patient rehabilitation service for adults with learning difficulties. The trial will begin on Tuesday, February 15, at Salisbury Crown Court. It will be overseen by Judge Susan Evans QC, with Ms Lucy Conroy representing the Crown Prosecution Service and Mr David Owusu-Yianoma as defence counsel.
