ORMC general surgeon to host virtual lecture to encourage surgical care amidst the COVID-19 climate

The event will be held on February 1 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Credit: Odessa Regional Medical Center Author: Zach Leff Updated: 9:21 AM CST January 26, 2021 ODESSA, Texas Odessa Regional Medical Center Surgeon, Dr. Michael Janice, is set to hold a virtual lecture about not delaying any important surgical procedures during these COVID-19 times.  The event will be held on February 1 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Viewers can see the event and asks questions after it concludes on Microsoft Team.  This lecture is free and open to the public. If you miss this, you will be able to view the lecture at a later date. 

ORMC administers first COVID-19 vaccine

Credit: Odessa Regional Medical Center Author: Zach Leff Updated: 9:14 AM CST December 22, 2020 ODESSA, Texas The Odessa Regional Medical Center administered its first COVID-19 Vaccine at 7:00 a.m. on December 22.  Denise Mourning, a nurse practitioner in ORMC’s dedicated COVID and critical care unit, was the first person to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.  Yesterday, ORMC received 400 doses of the Moderna vaccine.  More than 70 employees will be receiving the vaccine on December 22. There will be several more employees over the upcoming days who will be given the vaccine as well. 

ORMC to host free mobile COVID-19 testing on December 22

Credit: Odessa Regional Medical Center Author: Zach Leff Updated: 7:16 AM CST December 21, 2020 ODESSA, Texas The Odessa Regional Medical Center will hold a free mobile COVID-19 testing event on December 22.  The testing will be located at the Buddy West Parking Lot on 2225 W Sycamore Drive in Odessa.  The testing will start at 10:00 a.m. and be free for all Ector County residents.  People can get in line as early as 8:30 a.m. and the tests will be given out on a first come first serve basis.  The testing will end when the supplies runs out. No appointments will be needed.

Credit: Odessa Regional Medical Center Author: Zach Leff Updated: 6:20 AM CST December 17, 2020 ODESSA, Texas Odessa Regional Medical Center will be holding another free mobile COVID-19 testing event on December 18. The event will be at the Far West Event Center in Odessa. It is located at 5850 W University Blvd #200. The testing will be free for all Ector County residents.  Testing will officially start at 10:00 a.m. and residents can start to get in line around 8:30 a.m.  The event will last until either 1:30 p.m. or until there are no kits left for residents.
