Jerry Leslie, of Lander, passed away in Mesquite, Nevada May 1
st, 2021. A joint celebration of life for both Jerry and Marge Leslie, is to be planned for July in Lander.
Born Jerry Arthur Leslie, on May 20, 1939, in Lincoln Illinois, to Arthur and Venita. Jerry was born into the life of farming and worked the family farms. He told many stories over the years of his farm life, including what âpulling pigsâ means, and the time he had to drive his mother to the hospital while she was in labor with his sister. He was 9 years old and drove the stick-shift truck to the hospital in time. He attended Odell High School. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1956. In the Navy, Jerry was trained as a meteorologist. He released the old-style weather balloons from the shipâs deck to collect critical data from the balloon as it rose, so the weather could be forecast and enable the naval fleets to sail safely. He loved the sea life, and picked up his famous saying, âred sky

along with businesses, along with cars. people here have a lot of work to do to recover. you can imagine. i know, janell, that you mentioned that this is an 80 some-odd-year-old dam. are they thinking it s erosion over the years or massive about this particular flooding that caused that dam to collapse? this event, alex, a lot of water at once. the pressure of it all was too much for the dam to take. they knew it was strong and could withhold almost anything. but they saw the water first go over the top of it. annu and they knew at that point it wasn t going to hold for long. sure enough, a few hours later, it did break free. and the 30-foot-hole now is in that dam. and they really are just in disbelief that it could have ever happened. yeah, well, we ve got the pictures and we re looking at it. pretty incredible. janell klein in dell high. thank you so much. msnbc is the place for politics. the new appeal for president
