Philadelphia's starters turned in a lackadaisical effort in the second half of a back-to-back, and an undermanned Nets team made them pay for it, knocking off the Sixers, 122-109.
The Eagles could pick a quarterback if they aren t too excited about what Jalen Hurts showed down the stretch. If they don t, another receiver would be sensible.
#JimmySays: I believe there s an argument that the lengths to which the Eagles made sure they lost Week 17 would point toward them desiring a quarterback in this draft. As in, would they really be willing to go to those lengths on national television for their preference of a WR or CB?
Let’s see what shakes out in free agency on the offensive line, but you can’t go into another season with guys like DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery outside. The Smith vs. Chase debate will rage in Philly, but the Eagles can’t miss like they did on Jalen Reagor vs. Justin Jefferson.

Giants (6-10): I will always remember the 2020 New York Giants for pathetically bitching because a divisional rival didn t try to escort their bullshit 6-10 team into the playoffs.

The Good
• Joel Embiid is off to an absolutely spectacular start for the Sixers, and the more wins Philly can pile up out of the gate, the more likely it is he will find himself in MVP conversations once they begin in earnest.
In the first 8-10 minutes of the game, Embiid had at least 4-5 absolutely insane possessions on defense, always popping up at the right place at the right time to force a wild Hornets shot or a pass to a less dangerous player. His ability to scare smaller players around the basket is hard to miss. DeVonte Graham shot a layup I briefly thought was going to go over the backboard after Embiid made a late rotation to get in his face.
