Incumbents Jean Feldt and Wesley Markusen are being challenged by John Reed and Tina Frye.
Reed retired on June 15 after nearly 40 years with the Oconto Fire Rescue Department, including the last four as chief.
Frye was unsuccessful as a write-in candidate in 2019 and finished last behind the four incumbents in the 2020 election.
Council members generally meet at a Committee of the Whole on the first Tuesday of the month and the regular council meeting on the second Tuesday, as well as meetings of city committees to which they were appointed.
The annual salary for alderpersons after the election is $3,744, paid bi-weekly.
