Ochsner Health Systems says that their Lafayette locations have received no new vaccine allocations this week.
The announcement from the health system comes as Louisiana has seen a 70 percent decline in the vaccine supply over the past four weeks. Ochsner says the state is working through the allocation process from the federal government.
The decline led to the recent cancellations of appointments for Ochsner patients to receive the vaccine for the first time. Those who were scheduled have now been placed on a waiting list and will be called for an appointment when more vaccine is made available.
