Broadstairs, Whitstable, Margate and Folkestone among UK s top 50 beaches

Four Kent beaches have been ranked in the UK s top 50 coastal stretches in a survey of hundreds of Brits.
The seaside in Broadstairs was the county s highest-rated in the list compiled by WWF-UK and Sky Ocean Rescue, and was voted 22nd in the country.
The beach at Broadstairs was the highest-ranked in Kent by the survey
It was followed by beaches in Whitstable, Margate and Folkestone, which were placed 37th, 39th and 47th in the table.
The survey of 2,000 people was topped by Bournemouth s beach, while the top 10 also included three Cornish beaches.
