dana: thank you. now to griff jenkins, live in jacksonville, florida, at a life saving station. what does it look like out there? fairly calm? reporter: wind gusts, jacksonville officials say wind gusts from 55 miles an hour, but the real story as these outer bounds pound us while it passes by jacksonville is the ocean. look at the awesome power of the sea. this is jacksonville beach pier. we are standing, as you mentioned, in the observation tower of the jacksonville rescue team. they say they ve been busier today than they have at any other point this year because people have gone out. you look down on the beach. these are just people coming out. this is exactly why in the last 30 minutes, duval county put out an emergency alert. it says life threatening ocean conditions, please stay off the beach and out of the water. they have had multiple rescues within the last two hours. one woman on the intercoastal
