The Classical Academy of Sarasota will vie for a SSAC 1A Championship this Friday in their first year in the 8-man game, but unfortunately the Patriots will not host the game as originally planned.

Sandy Woods, the Marion County sheriff s mom, set to retire from OCA

“I think I m gonna quit school,” Billy said. “I slammed on brakes, pulled over and asked why,” Sandy Woods said in an interview last week. “And he says, ‘Because I don t see enough of you.’ ” Immediately, Sandy Woods gave her two-week notice, telling her boss at the telephone company that family came first. That’s when Ocala Christian Academy, along with legendary teacher Adele Henderson, told Sandy she could help teach in Billy s class. The following year, Sandy Woods was hired as the school’s kindergarten teacher. She was able to teach young Billy in his second year and, as the years went by, was able to see Billy every day at the K-12 private school. Billy graduated from the school in 1986.
