The Chief Executive Officer of the Atta-Mills Institute (AMI) for Civic Education and Public Policy Advocacy, Mr Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has commended the Beninois authorities for a successful organisation of its April 11 presidential election.
He said the collation centres were not inundated with human traffic as well as macho men or vigilante groups .
“One unique thing is how after the open counting and declaration of results, the returning officers send their duly signed Declaration Forms to the collation centres and leave,” he stated.

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has invited the Atta-Mills Institute (AMI) for Civic Education and Public Policy Advocacy to observe the April 11 Presidential elections of Benin.
The Founder and CEO of the AMI, Mr Samuel Koku Anyidoho will lead a three-member team which also includes Maxwell Okamafo Addo and a Technical Director of the Institute to observe the elections which will elect the President of the Republic of Benin for a five-year term.
A statement signed by the Director and Chief of Staff of the Institute, Andy Kankam, said the team will be in Benin between April 8 and 14, 2021.
The Atta-Mills Institute (AMI) for Civic Education and Public Policy Advocacy, has once again been invited by ECOWAS to join a Team of Elections Observers which will be in, Benin, between 8th - 14th April, 2021, to observe the country’s Presidential elections scheduled to take place on the 11th of April, 2021.
The elections, which will elect the President of the Republic of Benin for a five-year term, have the incumbent, President Patrice Talon, seeking a second term in office.
It would be recalled that between the 14th – 20th October 2020, the AMI was in Guinea, Conakry, as part of an ECOWAS Observer Team to observe the Presidential and Provincial elections of that country.
