Mr Soludo's administration, which is about nine months old, has twice called on gunmen in the state to lay down their arms in exchange of amnesty and rehabilitation.
Some gunmen have reportedly killed four persons in Awka, the Anambra State capital. Sources told SaharaReporters on Tuesday, that the recent attack in a series of bloody expedition happened at one Chief Obi Maduka’s compound within Nodu town square, Nodu Okpuno. One of the victims, Kenechukwu Okeke, was reportedly a chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area. The gunmen were said to have arrived in the compound in a white tinted Toyota Corolla and shot four people who were seated inside the compound and fled, leaving them in their pool of blood.
