this? yeah, sure. i ve been saying from the beginning that you just have to approach this in a way that s balanced, which is to say don t throw the baby out with the bath water. parents of obamacare that work ought to be retained and those parts that don t work for people ought to be fixed. i think that republican members of the house and senate are finding when they go back to their home districts, to their states that this is how people feel. people are very passionate. if you ve been helped by it, of course you want to keep it, you ve been hurt by it like so many americans have because the premiums have gone up and you have less care than you were promised before, and you want to fix it. so they ve got to get about the work of fixing it. but so much ofhis is theater, of course. you know, for republicans who campaigned on bringing obamacare down, of course, they ve got to stick to their campaign promise. at the same time, american people saying, you know what, don t throw the baby
press conferences and actually, you know, need to come up with something better than what they ve come up with so far, that you might see an effort on the part of republicans to sort of define obamacare down. like, back before there were these benefits, repealing obamacare was an abstraction and kind of meant getting rid of this thing that we told you was so bad. but as time goes on, i kind of wonder if you might start see republicans saying, we don t consider the medicaid expansion to be exactly part of obamacare. and we don t consider, you know, the expansion of insurance for kids who are 26 and under on their parent s programs. that s not really part of obamacare either. and just kind of like peeling back the onions. so really, what they re doing is just opposing, you know, a handful of unpopular things the. but when push comes to shove, they won t be actually able to say, we want to takes your tax credits away and your medicaid away and take you off of your parent s insurance. ther
