Of the Budget Committee. Good morning and welcome to our first day of markup for 2018, focusing on growing the economy through tax policies that put more money in the hands of hardworking americans. I would like to remember a former colleague and a former chairman of the committee who recently passed away, the new mexico senator that was a true fiscal conservative and pulled members of both parties together. I know that we all appreciate his service and sacrifice as a member of this great committee. This budget resolution begins the process of pursuing the overdue tax reform that will jumpstart Economic Growth and it starts with creating the fiscal framework and Holding Back Investment and american productivity.
