Accountability and transparency that is exactly what this focus is on with please reform and accountability and transparency we were smart enough to put together a small one a strong group of senators who understand the passion of the issue and expertise in different aspects of the senate. This is a false choice the answer to the question of which side do you support it is i support america then you support restoring that the communities of color and then you know the overwhelming number of officers in this nation want to do their job and go home to their family. Would like to associate my remarks 100 percent with everything senator scott just sosaidw. Somehow i am supposed to speak after he just said it. The frustration i have had the last few days looking at legislation together. Talking to people all over. Talking to members of the community, Law Enforcement and leadership. And to build a coalition of ideas. And then i coalition tim scott started with to have that would actually help. And now to pat each other on the back to say we pass something really about make a difference. Is there something we can do i could actually make a difference . Riots to see where the streets whether the streets of those cities and towns are controlled by mayors, city council es, Police Departments or vandals and looters and rioters, criminals and thug it is. In raleigh, north carolina, the police chief there has already decided to hand over that city to the mob. I will not put an officer in harms way to protect the property inside of a building. Lou the protesters who are filling the streets of some of this countrys largest cities bring with them, last night, more violence, more looting, arson and vandalism. It is particularly troubling that these rioters and looters are turning now on our Police Officers, in some cases trying to kill them. Some wounded officers this evening are near death.
