Oakmere Homes fail to fix faults with new Ulverston homes | The Westmorland Gazette

A FAMILY has been left furious at the state of their new build home, claiming they have found ‘around 150’ problems. Paula and Neil Mullen, along with their daughter Jess Mullen, moved into a new build owned by Oakmere Homes on Lund Farm on December 18. Daughter Jess said: “The sales process was great and we were reassured all issues would be dealt with in a timely manner. We were told to take our time snagging the property and compiling a list, which we did, by December 23 with the list totalling around 150 snags.” They said some of the problems they’ve come across include doors that don’t shut, loose sockets and light switches, an unfinished garden and a hole in the bathroom ceiling that has not yet been repaired properly.
