A second former senior official from Northern Ireland s health watchdog has taken up a post at disgraced care home firm Runwood Homes, it can be revealed.
Theresa Nixon, former Director of Assurance at the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA), has been appointed to lead the Board of the company s Northern Ireland branch, which is currently undergoing a rebrand.
She joins her former colleague, Dermot Parsons, former interim chief executive of the RQIA, who is taking up the role of managing director of the firm.
Under the rebrand, the company will become known as Kathryn Homes (NI).
On Thursday night, the daughter of a resident who died after sustaining a head injury in a home owned by Runwood Homes appealed to Mr Parsons and Ms Nixon to help her uncover the truth about her mother s tragic death.
