Five acts have been confirmed for concerts at the 2021 New York State Fair, but will they be free?
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday that this year’s NYS Fair will go on after last year’s event was cancelled by the coronavirus pandemic. The Fair will take place Aug. 20 through Sept. 6 with capacity limited to 50%, though restrictions could change as Covid-19 rates decline with vaccinations.

Top 5 Oak Ridge Boys Songs
The name Oak Ridge Boys will remind many country fans of radio hits and fashion choices ready-made for the 1980s. That’s because the classic lineup of lead singer Duane Allen, baritone singer William Lee Golden, bass singer Richard Sterban and tenor Joe Bosnall dominated the years of 1977-87 with 26 Top 10 hits, including 15 No. 1 singles.
All of that success came from quartet-style singers in the same mold as sentimental favorites the Statler Brothers. And as country delved back into pop territory, some of the genre s crossover hits came from a group inspired by church singing that predates even the idea of country music.

He was center stage between Amy Rigby and Scott Miller at the 30A Songwriter Festival in the Florida panhandle. His last words: “I’m sorry.” His mantra, however, was, “Always be true to the song.”
Understanding the covenant between the audience and performer, David earned rapt attention from folks wondering how to classify what they were witnessing. Was it country? Folk? Blues? Vaudeville? Scottish newspaper
