Texas wineries earn more medals and recognition

The 2021 TEXSOM International Wine Awards attracted almost 2,400 entries from 29 countries including the USA where 16 states had wines entered into the competition. The 44 wine judges sipped, slurped, swished and spat these wine during the judging on April 25, 26 and 27 at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas.
Teams of these hand-picked, renowned wine judge tasted and judged about 70 to 80 wines per day. After the end of the wine spitting, judges awarded 89 Platinum Medals (equivalent to a Double Gold Medal), 189 Gold Medals, 731 Silver Medals, and 805 Bronze Medals.
