JOHNSTOWN Fulton-Montgomery Community College officials expect work on the school’s revised capital project focused on health and safety to get underway late this month.
FMCC Trustee James Landrio of the Buildings and Grounds Committee reported to the Board of Trustees on Thursday that contracts for the college’s 2020 capital project are expected to be signed by the school’s sponsor counties shortly with related planning work ongoing.
“Planning with these contractors regarding the project work schedule is ongoing and it is expected that work on the 2020 capital project will begin sometime this month,” said Landrio.
Work slated for inclusion in the capital project includes replacement of the college’s obsolete fire alarm system, refurbishment of the outdated HVAC chiller system serving O’Connell Hall and installation of a monitoring alarm in the school’s wastewater treatment plant as mandated by the state Department of Environmental Conser
