Initially operating out of a commercial kitchen, Baby Cakes opened a modest storefront in early 2011 where patrons can stop by to grab their sweet treats. Some of the shop's offerings include double chocolate and the "redhead," a red-velvet cupcake. Baby Cakes also has a rotating schedule of cupcakes that includes turtle, lemon drop and peanut-butter banana. Early birds can enjoy breakfast cupcakes such as the vanilla-caramel latte and banana walnut. Baby Cakes' menu also features donuts, cookies and, for the truly indulgent, frosting shots.
Beyond celebrating its structures long history (part of it is from the 1920s when it was the Wildwood Saloon), Ethyl's also celebrates smoked goodness. After starting off with an app such as T-ravs or Buffalo wings, diners can either choose from the large sandwich menu - brisket, French dip and a Philly cheesesteak are among the options - or focus on the smoker. Entrees highlighting the smoker include smoked catfish, smoked ribs, smoked chicken and the smoked meat platter, which includes St. Louis-style ribs, smoked brisket and pork.
