All the Mavhunga family did was send their teenage daughter to school with the hopes of her getting the education she deserved, not knowing that the place she was meant to feel safe, failed to protect her.
Speaking at the funeral of Lufuno Mavhunga, at the Spirit Ambassadors International Church in Nzhelele in Limpopo on Saturday, her uncle Dakalo Netshivhazwaulu said he could not wrap his head around how his niece died.

PUPILS who bully other pupils should be reported to teachers and arrested by the police.
Limpopo education MEC Polly Boshielo visited Mbilwi Secondary School in Sibasa outside Thohoyandou yesterday.
This comes after the death of grade 10 pupil Lufuno Mavhunga, who committed suicide soon after a video of her being attacked by fellow a fellow pupil went viral on social media on Monday, 12 April.
“We will no longer tolerate bullying in our schools, because it disturbs learning and teaching,” said the MEC.

“Lufuno was young and we were expecting more from her. Her departure has hurt us a lot,” said Dakalo Mavhunga, older brother of Lufuno Mavhunga, a bullied teen who committed suicide.
The 27-year-old Dakalo said on Wednesday the family was expecting great things from Lufuno, as she was the youngest and smartest in the family.
