DA mayor, Nyandiso Jindela, charged with murdering former deputy mayor
Stellenbosch deputy mayor Nyandiso Jindela appeared in the local magistrate’s court on charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder on Thursday.
Stellenbosch’s deputy mayor, Nyandiso Jindela, a member of the Democratic Alliance, his wife, Unathi and a taxi owner named Gladstone Relegu appeared in the Stellenbosch Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, 3 June, where they faced charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
The trio stand accused of masterminding the killing of Jindela’s predecessor, the former deputy mayor, Cameron Mcako in 2019.
