LAHORE: Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz was granted bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday, 20 months after the lawmaker was arrested in an assets-beyond-means and money-laundering case.
A two-member bench, headed by Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, directed Hamza to submit two surety bonds of Rs10 million each to avail relief while hearing a post-arrest petition filed by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader.
During the proceedings, National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) prosecutor Faisal Bukhari resumed his arguments and stated that Hamza Shahbaz possessed assets of “a few lakh rupees in 2003” whereas his assets reached “Rs537 million in 2018”, in addition to alleged illegal transactions of millions of rupees in his accounts.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Accountability court on Wednesday has extended the judicial remand of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz till March 4 in money laundering case.
During the hearing, the accountability judge expressed resentment over disturbing order in the court.
On the occasion, strict security arrangements were taken at the court to avoid any untoward situation.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shahbaz on Wednesday have appeared before the accountability court in money laundering case.
During the hearing, Shehbaz Sharif termed allegations of money laundering and kickback as baseless. Daily Mail’s lawyer had confessed to not having enough evidence during proceeding in British court, he added.
Meanwhile, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor said that London’s verdict has nothing to do with this case.
