Richard Powell has taken over the role at Grove Place, in Upton Lane, Nursling. It is thought Richard s grandfather previously owned the neighbouring fields and lived on the estate, with Richard’s mother, in the 1960’s. The new general manager has a history of working in hospitality, including being the general manager at the New Place Hotel in Shirrell Heath. He was chairman of the Southampton and Region Hoteliers Association, supporting local hotels with a united voice in hospitality. Richard said: It feels amazing to be here at Grove Place, where 50 years before my mother and grandparents lived. It is an incredible, vibrant community and there is something very magical about the ambience and family feel.
