Local nurse explains why she got the COVID-19 vaccine

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â When it comes to the COVID-19 vaccine, more medical front line workers here in the Coastal Bend are getting it.
One registered nurse talked to KRIS 6 News on why she got the new vaccine. She says she has worked in healthcare for decades, she said not only in the Navy, but now, as a home healthcare nurse.
Registered Nurse Madeline Frost says she is a Texas native and when she had the chance to get the vaccine at the Richard M. Borchard Fairgrounds Wednesday, that is exactly what she did.
