The sides discussed the prospects of further expansion of Kazakh-Finnish cooperation in political, investment as well as trade and economic spheres.
They continued by determining the ways of expanding cooperation in such areas as telecommunications, digitalization, transport, logistics, and medicine.
Within the framework of his visit to Kazakhstan Minister for Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Finland Ville Skinnari was accompanied by heads of such Finnish companies as Nokia, Kone, Nurminen Logistics, and Planmeca.
China-Europe freight train advantageous, promising, says Finnish minister
The China-Europe freight train has a series of significant advantages, and there is huge potential for trade between China and Finland by rail, a Finnish minister has said.
Finland welcomes more freight train connections with China, and hopes to become a leading hub between China and Europe with its existing advantages in transportation and logistics, said Ville Skinnari, Finnish minister for development cooperation and foreign trade, in a recent interview with Xinhua.
Initiated in 2011, the China-Europe cargo rail transport service is considered a significant component of the Belt and Road Initiative, boosting trade between China and other countries along the Belt and Road.
First freight train from Finland to Japan for 30 years departs from Helsinki
The 10,000 kilometre route runs from Helsinki to the Russian city of Vostochny and from there by sea to Yokohama.
Finnish logistics company Nurminen Logistics said it is currently negotiating 18 additional routes to Japan.

Finnish logistics company Nurminen Logistics will send a freight train from Helsinki on Thursday headed to the port city of Yokohama, located in the Kanagawa Prefecture to the south of Tokyo.
The route, which is more than 10,000 kilometres long, runs from Helsinki to the Russian port city of Vostochny and from there by sea to Yokohama.
