Women play major role in economic development — Manipur CM

Our Correspondent Imphal, Oct. 14 (EMN): Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that Manipuri women play a major role in the economic development of the state. The chief minister was addressing the inaugural function of the 16th Regional SARAS Mela, 2022, held at Iboyaima Shumangleela Shanglen, Palace Compound on Friday. The Regional SARAS Mela organised by Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Government of Manipur, will continue till October 23. Singh said the contribution of both men and women of a family are needed to lead a quality life and added that women are playing a bigger role in the development of a society.
