On Mar. 30, the City of Kingston held an information session for local landlords about proposed changes to the Nuisance Party Bylaw. The changes aim to implicate absentee landlords whose tenants hold unlawful gatherings.
Officers would issue violation notices for nuisance parties that involved big parties, loud noise, and unruly people, but soon they will have more authority.
Starting Friday, Scottsdale police will have more power to stop nuisance parties frequently associated with vacation and short-term rentals. In December, the city council voted unanimously to update two ordinances.
