THE Adamawa State Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Sanusi Faruk, on Tuesday allegedly fled from court following his arraignment before a Magistrate’s Court in Yola.
It was learnt that the fleeing commissioner might have left the state capital (Yola) to his home town, Toungo Local Government Area, which shares border with Cameroon.
The action of the commissioner, which was said to have infuriated the judge on Tuesday, resulted in the remanding of two serving directors under the employ of the state government at a correctional facility inYola.
Faruk was arraigned alongside two other accused; Markus Sawa and Iliya Ayuba, who are serving directors with the state Ministry of Women affairs and Social Development and that of Youth and Sport Development respectively.
