Published April 16, 2021, 5:12 PM ILOILO CITY – Residents of Guimaras and two towns in Iloilo are bracing for a 12-hour power blackout as the National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) is set to conduct maintenance work on a 69-kilovolt distribution line from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. March 11, 2021 THE Province of Guimaras welcomed Thursday, March 11, the arrival of Covid-19 vaccines, as the island gears up for the journey toward the new normal. One hundred doses of CoronaVac, the vaccine made by China s Sinovac, arrived in Guimaras. Governor Samuel Gumarin, Guimaras Lone District Representative Ma. Lucille L. Nava, Dr. Nilda Baingan of the Department of Health-Guimaras and Provincial Health Officer Dr. NL Cathrel Nava fetched the vaccine at the Ro-Ro wharf in the Municipality of Jordan when it arrived. The vaccines were taken from the storage facility of the Department of Health-Center for Health Development Western Visayas. The vaccines were then brought to the storage facility at the Provincial Health Office.
