A suspect who we confirmed through the sources is larry dawson walked into the Visitor Center here at the United States capitol complex pulled out the gun, the officers fired. He was taken to the hospital. Taken to surgery. We dont know the nature of his injuries if they are grave, critical or how he is doing at this time. This place was crawling with tourists. People off on vacation. They had to do a lockdown. They had to usher people into different rooms. We spoke with many of the tourists a number of them children. Authorities say when brown shot and killed 37yearold trooper chad dermyer yesterday, at the richmond Greyhound Bus station, he did so with a. 40caliber beretta, semiautomatic pistol. A gun bought legally a year ago but not by brown himself. Also found in browns possession 143 rounds of unspent ammunition. Its troubling he would have a g. History that he has.
