FACEBOOK and Instagram were down last night- leaving thousands of users offline.
Users reported problems on both of the world s biggest social media sites.

People started logging problems on Facebook and Instagram just after 10pm yesterday evening.
Over 60,000 users said they are experiencing problems with Facebook, while 38,000 had issues on Instagram, according to DownDetector.
But it now seems like the service on the social media sites are fully restored.
When both apps stopped working properly, people took to Twitter to check if other users were experiencing the same technical issues.

NASA has baffled space fans by releasing an image of what appears to be a rainbow on Mars.
Rain on Mars isn t possible so the picture went viral as people tried to come up with an explanation.

The US space agency originally gave no answers and only captioned the image: NASA s Mars Perseverance rover acquired this image of the area in back of it using its onboard Rear Left Hazard Avoidance Camera.
Some experts suggested it was a “dustbow” created by dust particles on the planet.

The Golden City of Luxor has just become the “the largest” ancient city ever found in Egypt.

Famous Egyptologist Zahi Hawass announced that the city had been discovered near Luxor, home of the Valley of the Kings.
An official statement said: The Egyptian mission under Dr. Zahi Hawass found the city that was lost under the sands.
