POTSDAM â Clarkson University Professor of Education Catherine Snyder has been named to the Board of Directors for the national accreditation agency â Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation.
The AAQEP was founded in 2017. It is a membership organization and quality assurance agency that provides accreditation services and formative support to all types of educator preparation providers. The AAQEPâs mission is to promote and recognize quality educator preparation that strengthens the education professionâs ability to serve all students, schools, and communities, and to do so equitably.
Snyder is the chair of the Department of Education and the Associate Director of the Institute for STEM Education at Clarkson Universityâs Capital Region Campus. Dr. Snyder has been with Clarkson for 15 years, after a career teaching at the secondary level.
