Gauteng police are searching for clues following a break-in at the offices of the commission of inquiry into state capture in Parktown.
“We can confirm that police are investigating a business robbery after the break-in at the commission in the early hours of today,” said Gauteng police’s Noxolo Kweza.
Although police did not confirm what was stolen, it is alleged that they fled with two computers.
National Assembly Speaker Thandi Modise will take to the stand followed by the chairperson of the National Council of Provinces Amos Masondo.

Johannesburg - The Gauteng police are investigating a business robbery following a burglary at the offices of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into Allegations of State Capture on Saturday.
On Sunday, Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Noxolo Kweza confirmed that they were investigating a business robbery but said details would be released at a later stage after police had completed their investigations.
Kweza was reacting to reports that unknown people broke into the offices of the Zondo Commission on Saturday night and removed various items, including laptops containing vital information.

JOHANNESBURG - A Vlakfontein mother is grieving the loss of her teenage daughter who recently passed away before she could get justice after being raped over a year ago.
Nomsa Phafana s daughter, Noluthando Yiba, was raped when she was 14-years-old. She passed away on 8 April following a short illness.
The teenager told her family that the violation happened in December 2019. Yiba told her mother that she was lured to her alleged attacker’s home and promised money for a soft drink. The crime was reported to the police several months after the crime happened, when the family discovered that Yiba was pregnant.

The police are investigating the deaths of a well-known Pretoria property developer and his two colleagues whose bodies were found in an upmarket house in the capital.
Theo Kleynhans, 60, and his colleagues Mario Pretorius, 23, and Chariska Kloppers, 30, were found deceased at Kleynhans s Menlo Park home by his butler on Saturday morning.
It is not yet clear whether the computer stolen at the state capture inquiry’s Parktown offices contained information relating to the upcoming appearance of President Cyril Ramaphosa and that of former president Jacob Zuma, the commission's secretary Itumeleng Mosala said on Sunday.
