Buffalo-area COVID-19 testing sites stay open on Christmas Day

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. A company called Sameday Testing just launched this week in New York State, which includes two sites here in Western New York.
Though it may be Christmas, there was no shortage of people looking to get tested or locations where you could get one done.
One of those locations is a drive-through testing site in Hamburg. The other is on Main Street in Williamsville, which is a storefront you can walk into.

CAPITAL REGION The positive test rate for COVID has paused its climb on a statewide level but continues to spike in individual counties.
On a seven-day rolling average, Schenectady County on Wednesday hit 9.7% positive, Montgomery County 9.2% and Albany County 7.9%, compared with 5.4% or 5.5% for the state as a whole in the last several days. The Capital Region stood at 7.5% Wednesday, up from 6.5% a week ago. The Mohawk Valley stood at 8.7%, highest in the state.
