+ January 14, 2021 THE Sinulog festival has always been a highly anticipated occasion with activities such as processions, novena masses, the mardi gras and get-togethers. This year, the celebration has been scaled down for health and safety but it remains to be a celebration of Cebuano faith, culture and tradition.
Here are six ways to celebrate Sinulog at AyalaMalls Central Bloc:
1. Attend the novena masses
Start 2021 full of faith, hope and thanksgiving, and offer intentions for the year to Sto. Niño. Take part in the Fiesta Señor Novena Mass every 6 p.m. until Jan. 16 at the Chapel of St. John Paul II.

+ January 13, 2021 IF YOU RE a Cebuano, then you ve probably heard the traditional Santo Niño hymn, Gozos (Bato Balani sa Gugma). The song is popularly sung during the nine-day Novena Mass of the Santo Niño as part of the Fiesta Señor.
Bato Balani sa Gugma, which means Magnet of Love, is a Catholic song that spans six to seven minutes.

CEBU CITY In what was described as a “saddening and heartbreaking” move, the Augustinian priests from the Basilica Minore Del Sto. Niño de Cebu on Monday, January 11, decided to stop holding public Novena Masses of the Fiesta Señor 2021.

The last public Novena Mass was held on Monday. It was the fourth of the nine-day Novena Mass.
