Never seen before. Things that have never happened on the stage of large protests like this. No adults were allowed to speak. No politicians were on that stage. Many politicians requested speaking slots. They were all turned down. The oldest speakers on the stage today were high school seniors. The youngest was 9yearold Yolanda Renee king. The granddaughter of Martin Luther king junior. During two of the speeches, students from Marjory Stoneman douglas high school, we saw things we never seen from speakers on stanls like this. Emma gonzalez bravely and fiercely held the stage in the middle of her speech for six minutes and 20 seconds of silence in which she forced the audience to experience the passage of the exact amount of time that a mass murderer used to kill 17 people in her high school in parkland, florida on february 14th. We saw samantha break down in the middle of her speech and turn away from the podium and throw up. She bent over and vomited repeatedly and then she survived
