if you look at the approval rating that obama has among hispanic voters it s about 70%. so they re thinking in states like nevada, california, in these states with large black and brown populations if they can get those folks engaged and not all of them, i don t think they believe the enthusiasm level will be the same as it was in 2008 but if they re able to peel off, you know, a good portion of those new voters that came to the polls in 2008, they really like their chances in 2010, in november. you know, eleanor, you talk about how the republicans may be a little more fired up and that s probably in no large part i mean due in large part to the tea party and all of that sort of fire branding that s gone on within the party and we also have the scrutiny continuing of christine o donnell of course the newly minted gop senate candidate in delaware. here are new developments this weekend. bill maher dug up this tv clip from 1999 where o donnell says she, quote, dabbled in witchcraft.

democrats to change the economic situation ahead of the november 2nd election. what options are left? we are continuing to change the economic situation and we inherited the awful situation from george bush, and, the republicans, and, we have been doing things like the recovery act, and, the tax cuts, or tax credits, if you will, for businesses, if they want to hire the unemployed, and i think that we just need to continue more of this same and need to look forward, beyond the november elections and talk about a made in america manufacturing policy that basically prevents jobs from going overseas, and creating good jobs here at home and is not just the november elections, it is a question of continuing with the recovery and trying to create more jobs and i don t look at it as, you know, november being the guidepost, so to speak. julie: congressman brown, how are republicans going to play at revitalizing the economy, between now and november? and, i guess, the democrats inability t
parroting. julie: congressman, what about independence and all of those independents and undecided voters who have been waiting to get off of the unemployment line? how do democrats win their support or confidence at this point and are they worried they ll lose the voters to republicans. if it were we re not going to lose them because we basically have a plan to get out of the recession reinherited. julie: by november 2nd. if people understand that this is long term and i mean, you know, the answer is not what the economy is on november 2nd. it is what kind of policies, long term, you will put in place, what i call, make it in america, to try and get jobs back and plug up loopholes that send jobs overseas, and use the tax code, essentially, to give small businesses credit so they hire people, and to try to continue with the recovery act. i mean, the idea that the recovery act actually, you know, unemployment probably would have been 11-1/2% instead of 9.5% if
