The Portland food scene may still be grappling with changes brought on by the coronavirus, but another local culinary talent is getting some TV time. The Food Network series, “Easter Basket Challenge,” launches Monday night, and among the competitors will be Makana Jarman, co-founder of Portland’s Cake Nouveau, a pastry and cake decorating company.
In “Easter Basket Challenge,” host Sunny Anderson will welcome seven bakers, who are challenged to prepare holiday-themed creations. Chefs Jordan Andino and Claudia Sandoval will judge which bakers continue each week and go on to win the ultimate prize, a golden Easter egg that’s filled with $25,000.
