CHARITY founder Emma Egging has completed a gruelling 33-mile ultramarathon to mark the tenth anniversary of the Jon Egging Trust (JET). Dr Egging founded the youth charity following the death of her husband, Red Arrows pilot Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging at the Bournemouth Air Show in 2011. At the weekend, after successfully taking on the ultramarathon along the Grantham Canal, she raised £12,199 for JET s work with vulnerable youngsters. The run, one of ten epic challenges Dr Egging will be aiming to complete this year, also launched the charity s national JET10 Virtual Relay, a national initiative to encourage teams of 10 from across the UK to jog, run or walk 10x10 kilometres to raise funds to support JET s next decade of work.

Collin Quaner’s two first-half goals saw Town to a 2-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers at the University of Bolton Stadium with Josh Emmanuel converting a late own goal for the home side. Quaner headed the Blues in front on 33, then added his second with a shot on the turn 11 minutes later. Town saw the game out largely comfortably after the break until a cross bounced off Emmanuel and over the line in the fourth and final minute of injury time.
Quaner, Emmanuel, James Collins, Teddy Bishop and Andre Dozzell all started as Paul Lambert made five changes from the team which lost 2-0 at home to Hull City last week.

Town boss Paul Lambert reiterated that the Blues have no divine right to finish in League One’s top two this season just because of the size and history of the club in a sometimes tetchy exchange during his morning press conference ahead of the Burton Albion match.
Earlier in the season when Town in form and at the top of the table, various players talked confidently about finishing in the top two. While that was understandable, Lambert was asked whether he fely uncomfortable with that? That that needed to be dampened down?
