New traffic lights are being installed at the intersection of North Nottawa and West streets, as well as South Centerville Road and West South Street.
The project is spearheaded by Michigan Department of Transportation and includes traffic-monitoring cameras.
Work continued Wednesday at the Nottawa Street intersection, and motorists are encouraged to slow down for utility workers and parked equipment at the sites, city officials said.
