Philip left behind his polished dark green four-wheeled carriage and his Fell ponies - Balmoral Nevis and Notlaw Storm, and these are reportedly going to be passed on to Lady Louise - a member of the royal family who shared his love for carriage-driving.
Louise is the daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, the Earl and Countess of Wessex.
On the day of Philip s funeral, the two beloved Fell ponies were seen pulling their late master s carriage. His driving cap, gloves, and blanket were on the seat of the carriage. On the morning he died, Lady Louise was seen in Windsor Great Park in his carriage. She paid tribute to her late grandfather by putting the ponies through their paces.

Last weekend was a difficult one for the Royal Family, as they said a sad farewell to Prince Philip, the Queen s husband, who recently died at the age of 99. Due to coronavirus restrictions, the funeral was only able to have 30 guests in attendance, one of whom was Lady Louise Windsor (Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex s daughter, the Queen and Philip s granddaughter). At just seventeen-years-old, she was one of the youngest there.
It s evident that Louise and her grandfather were especially close – as not only was Philip pictured watching Louise compete in equestrian events in the past, but the Duke of Edinburgh also left her some incredibly personal and special gifts following his passing.
In addition,
Louise will also inherit his dark green four-wheeled carriage. The carriage, which was seen carrying his cap, whip and brown gloves during the funeral, was a fairly new carriage.

Over the past 10 days, as all eyes have been on Windsor following Prince Philip’s death, a sombre little face has cropped up again and again. Always in the background, poised and respectful, quietly allowing more senior members of the family to take centre stage, Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor seemed to grow into a fully fledged member of the Firm in front of our eyes.
