Airedale Hospital staff rally round to help the homeless

A CARING staff member at Airedale Hospital has collected over 200 gift-packed shoeboxes in support of a homeless charity. Charlee Edgar, a speech and language therapist, put out a call to colleagues for donations – and was overwhelmed with the response. The shoeboxes have been presented to Homeless Not Hopeless. Charlee said: “After seeing the kind and caring support given to Airedale by local people during the Covid pandemic, I wanted to try to find a way to give back to our community. “Homeless Not Hopeless is a local charity serving the Bradford and Keighley area, which was appealing for Christmas shoeboxes to give to the homeless community at outreaches.
