NORWICH A Norwich man ended up facing more than a dozen charges after police responded to a residence Sunday for a possible disturbance, according to a news release.
Norwich resident Andrew Cook, 57, was charged with illegally having explosives, first degree reckless endangerment, bomb manufacturing, possessing an assault weapon and assaulting a public safety officer, among others, according to the release.
Cook and his roommate got into a fight, and officials who responded to the Prospect Street residence Sunday evening arrested him, the release said. But as police officers continued to investigate, “information was developed that Cook may be in possession of firearms, ammunition and ammunition manufacturing tools,” the release said.
